PENDLETON, Ind. – Investigators arrested an employee at a central Indiana prison after they say they found more than 100 cell phones concealed inside his car.

Indiana State Police say 23-year-old correctional officer Taylor Hardesty, from Indianapolis, had dropped his car off at the Pendleton Correctional Facility to have his brakes repaired.

The phones were discovered inside his vehicle at that point.

Authorities arrested him Tuesday at a friend’s home on felony charges of trafficking with an inmate and bribery.

Hardesty is now in custody at the Madison County Jail, with a bond of $20,000. At this point, there is no defense attorney listed on his behalf.
