INDIANAPOLIS – A man accused of setting a laundry room fire at a motel on the city's northeast side was arrested Tuesday.
Indianapolis police say 24-year-old Rikeeze Ross of Indianapolis was preliminarily charged with arson, a level 4 felony.
Police and firefighters found a fire in the laundry room of Motor 8 Inn in the 3700 block of Shadeland Avenue around 5 a.m. on Nov. 4.
Investigators later determined the fire was intentionally set. They say evidence and help of the community led them to Ross as a suspect.
The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will review the case and make a final charging decision.
