YORKTOWN, Ind. – A Yorktown pastor was arrested Thursday after police say he confessed that he had sex with a 15-year-old girl inside his church.

According to the probable cause affidavit, pastor of Old Fashion United Baptist Church, Terry Dobbs, 53, “gave a full confession about what had taken place between him and the 15-year-old female.”

A detective with the Allen County Sheriff's Office said he learned that a girl had been in a sexual relationship with her pastor for the past two months.  The 15-year-old also stated that she had several sexual text messages on her school computer.

An officer with Yorktown Police interviewed the girl on December 8. She said that Dobbs began counseling her in July for several issues she was experiencing at the time.

The girl told the officer that the relationship started off with the pastor talking about kissing her, and once they kissed it progressed into the two of them fondling each other while they were at the church.

She told police the two engaged in oral sex and had sex three times while at the church.

According to the court document, the two also took “nude photos of each other and they were sending them back and forth over the internet by way of cell phones and computers.”

Dobbs is facing charges of sexual misconduct with a minor, vicarious sexual gratification with a minor, child exploitation and child solicitation. He is in the Delaware County Jail on $35,000 bond.
