INDIANAPOLIS – One person was killed in a shooting on the city’s east side, marking the third homicide on the Sunday after Thanksgiving,
Officers arrived to the 1900 block of N. Dearborn Street around 4 30 p.m. Police found a car with a man in the driver's seat and a woman in the passenger seat.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
After an investigation, detectives believe the shooting took place in the 2200 block of Avondale Place.
The victim has not been identified. The man was one of three people shot and killed Sunday, making for a violent end of the holiday weekend.
A 15-year-old was shot and killed on Indianapolis' southeast side Sunday. Police believe the 15-year-old lured the shooter to the home with a phone app.

Another shooting happened in the 2900 block of Eastern Ave around 6 a.m. A man was found unresponsive in a house.
