INDIANAPOLIS -- An alleged shoplifter pepper sprayed two Carson Pirie Scott employees at Circle Centre Mall Tuesday while trying to flee with stolen goods.
A Carson Pirie Scott loss prevention employee flagged down an IMPD officer around 6:00 p.m. Tuesday to report a theft at the Circle Centre store.
The employee said an alleged shoplifter pepper sprayed two employees while attempting to steal items from the store.
The suspect, 18-year-old Paris Lajoy Daniels, was eventually apprehended by IMPD near the 500 Festival building on Virginia Avenue.
Daniels faces preliminary charges of battery, possession of marijuana and theft.
