INDIANAPOLIS -- Southeast district officers say they’ve arrested two teenagers suspected in at least 13 robberies since May.
Officers were called to a business in the 2900 block of Madison Avenue shortly before 11 a.m. on July 20 on a report of two males on the side of the business wearing masks.
The suspects were not on scene when police arrived, however officers quickly came into contact with two teenagers matching the description.
The suspects were identified as Dujuan Love and Auntez Dupree, both 17.
(RTV6 is identifying the suspects because they have been waived to adult court.)
During a search of Love and Dupree, officers reportedly found a small-caliber handgun, as well as evidence from prior robberies in a book bag in the area.
After conducting interviews and obtaining consent to search Love’s residence, police found evidence leading them to connect the pair to 12 gas station robberies and one robbery at a Little Caesar’s in the 3400 block of South East Street.
Love was preliminarily charged with robbery and kidnapping in the case. Dupree faces preliminary charges of robbery, kidnapping and carrying a handgun without a license.
IMPD said the U.S. Attorney’s Office will review the case for possible federal charges.
