INDIANAPOLIS -- IMPD arrested three juveniles and an adult Saturday in multiple fights that broke out around the downtown area.

The fights, which mostly centered around the Circle Centre Mall and Indiana Convention Center, took place between 8:00-10:00 p.m.

Just before 9 p.m., an IMPD officer in the downtown unit deployed a pepperball to break up a fight near the Steak 'n Shake restaurant on Maryland Street.

Thirty minutes later, 19-year-old Kaleb Lee Sanders was arrested in the same spot on a preliminary charge of disorderly conduct.

Two juvenile females, one 16 and one 15, were arrested a few yards away at the same time for fighting on Illinois Street.

Shortly before 10 p.m., another officer deployed a pepperball near the intersection of Washington Street and Capitol Avenue to disperse a large fight.

According to the police report, after the pepperball was deployed, those involved in the fight ran in all directions. No arrests were made in that incident.

Another juvenile male was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest near the convention center.

The fights come just a few weeks after another large fight in front of the Bu Da Lounge on Market Street downtown ended with a fatal gunshot.
