INDIANAPOLIS -- A woman has been arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Investigators said a tip lead to the arrest of Brittany Jones on Thursday. She's charged with leaving the scene of an accident causing death.
Brian Wilkinson, 52, was struck by a vehicle on Pendleton Pike on January 13. He was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries. The driver who hit Wilkinson left the scene.
Police say after local media began covering the accident they received numerous tips and new details. They eventually identified Jones as the driver of the vehicle involved.
Jones, 30, is charged with leaving the scene of an accident causing death.
