COLUMBUS, Ind. -- Two men were arrested Saturday following a suspicious persons report at a Columbus Best Buy store.
Columbus police were dispatched to the store in the 1300 block of N. National Road around 12:30 p.m.
Best Buy security told police a man wearing a mask came into the store with a collapsible baton tucked into his waistband.
He threw the mask on the floor when he was asked to remove it and walked to the back of the store with another man.
Officers located the two men a short time later and say they recognized one of them as Ricky A. Schoonover, 29, of Columbus, who had a warrant for his arrest.
The other man, Devin C. Kinman, 26, of Columbus, gave a fake name when he was being patted down, according to Columbus police.
Officers say they found a loaded handgun in Kinman's pants pockets as well as the collapsible baton.
Kinman faces preliminary charges of possession of a firearm by a serious felon and false informing.
Schoonover faces preliminary charges of possession of meth and marijuana.
