INDIANAPOLIS – Two men died following a shooting on the city’s southeast side Thursday evening.
Indianapolis police dispatch said the men were found dead in the 1700 block of Villa Avenue after 10 p.m.
Neighbors said they heard about six gunshots on the street.
Witnesses said other people were inside of the home, including a child. A neighbor said he heard the gunshots and ran inside to get the child.
"I grabbed the kid and was asking him where his mom was at," the neighbor said. "I was just worried about the kid, because he had to climb over the guy to get out the door."
Homicide detectives said the investigation is ongoing and did not release any information on a suspect.
