INDIANAPOLIS -- Two teens were injured, one critical after a shooting early Sunday morning on the northeast side of Indianapolis.
It happened at an apartment complex near 42nd Street and Mitthoeffer Road just after 12:30 a.m.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers on the scene said a male was hit multiple times, including his upper body. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition. A female was also shot in the leg. She was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
The shooting marks five teenagers shot in Indianapolis in a 24 hour period.
Early Saturday morning, police say three teens were shot in a parking lot on West 38th Street. A 17-year-old Warren Central High School student died as a result of his injuries from that shooting. The two other teens remain in the hospital.
