Woman shot and killed on Indianapolis' south side identified by IMPD

INDIANAPOLIS -- The woman shot and killed early Sunday morning on Indianapolis' south side was identified by police.

Indianapolis police said Erin Mills, 34, was found lying in the street suffering from at least one gunshot wound in the 7200 block of Creekbrook Drive. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

IMPD detectives said Mills' fiance was found inside an apartment with at least one gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

No word on a suspect description at this time, police said.

Police say this is the second deadly shooting in this neighborhood this year.

The body of Kobi Walden, 31, was found on May 2.
