The news that Gov. Mike Pence would be Donald Trump's likely running mate hadn't even cooled before "The Onion" rolled out its signature brand of political analysis about the pick.
In a satirical profile that lists Pence's occupation as "former, future talk radio host," the humor website lampooned Pence for his headline-grabbing stances on same-sex marriage, Syrian refugees and abortion.
A similar profile on former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton joked that she was preparing for the general election by going "window-to-window in key districts to glare at undecided voters."
