DELPHI, Ind. – A reward is now being offered for information leading to the arrest of the suspect(s) responsible for the murder of two Delphi teens, Liberty German,14, and Abigail Williams,13.

More than $41,000 in reward money was donated by the four following agencies and organizations:

  • $25,000 from the FBI
  • $10,000 from Indiana Packers Corporations
  • $5,000 from The Andersons
  • $1,000 from Lafayette Bank and Trust

“They do that because they care,” said Indiana State Police Sgt. Tony Slocum. “We need to solve this case. We have every resource that we could think of to prompt people to give us information. We need to get the murderer of Liberty German and Abigail Williams into custody sooner rather than later.”

The two teens disappeared Feb. 13 after they were dropped off near the Monon High Bridge, an abandoned rail bridge over Deer Creek, to go hiking. Their bodies were found and identified in the following days.

On Feb.15, authorities released a photo of the suspect found walking on the Delphi Historic Trail around the time the teens disappeared.

Wednesday morning, ISP released audio of a person they believe to be a suspect in the case. Officers said the audio clip may or may not be associated with the suspect pictured in the photo, as there could be more than one person involved in the murders.

The amount of the reward may be up to $41,000 depending upon the value of the information provided. Authorities can reject a claim for the reward where there has been collusion or criminal involvement.
