INDIANAPOLIS — We may still be in pandemic mode, but fishing isn't off-limits in Indiana — and this weekend will be the perfect chance to get out and enjoy some time at the lake.
Indiana's "Free Fishing Weekend" for 2020 is June 6 -7.
On "Free Fishing Days" Indiana residents can fish public waters without a fishing license or a trout stamp.
Children ages 17 and younger do not need a license on any day of the year.
The Indiana Department of Natural Resources generally holds four Free Fishing Days per year, and June 6-7 will be the 2nd and 3rnd.
The final free fishing date for 2020 will be on September 26.
DNR had also planned multiple Learn to Fish workshops around the state, but because of the pandemic those dates and times have not been rescheduled.
