East side community center donates new bikes to IMPD

Posted

INDIANAPOLIS – Two new bikes were donated to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department’s east district Thursday.

The bikes were donated from Shepherd Community Center, located on the city’s east side, to create a more positive relationship between police and the community.

“When you're coming to Shepherd and you're going to school and seeing policemen, and the one thing that we really want you to know is how much we care about you,” said Andrew Green.
