INDIANAPOLIS – Just hours after the city began recovering from icy conditions, sleet and dozens of accidents, IMPD revealed some good news. A group of newborn puppies were rescued from a dumpster by an Indianapolis police officer Sunday morning.
Officer Charleswood found seven puppies while responding to a call for cries coming from a dumpster. He saved the puppies from the brittle cold by taking his coat off and wrapping them inside.
The puppies were taken to a foster home partnered with Every Dog Counts Rescue and given food.
