WESTFIELD — Chicago-based "Abbott," a global health care company, opened a new facility in Westfield.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Thursday at the 120,000 square-foot facility located in the Northpoint Industrial Park. The building will serve as a new medical device production site.
Abbott says it expects to add more than 450 new jobs as the facility reaches peak production in the coming year.
