LEBANON — Looking for work? The Boone County Economic Development Corporation (Boone EDC) will host its first virtual job fair Wednesday, May 20 at 10:30 a.m.

There are currently about 550 full-time positions open in logistics and manufacturing at Boone County industries. This is the first of what could be many virtual job fairs in the county as employers hire, while at the same time meeting the economic challenges created by COVID-19.

“During this time, we have an increased number of unemployment throughout the state. While Boone County hasn’t been immune to this, we know there are many looking for quality paying jobs and likewise, we have employers looking to hire,” said Molly Whitehead, Boone EDC Executive Director. “The virtual job fair is an opportunity for both job seekers and employers to renew our local workforce.”

How do you take part? The virtual job fair will take place via Zoom webinar. Job seekers interested in attending can register at betterinboone.org/jobfairjobseekers. [betterinboone.org]
