PENDLETON — The Pendleton Correctonal Facility has openings for correctional officers.
If you're interested, there's a job fair at the prison's training center, 4490 Reformatory Road, this Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon.
Because of the pandemic, the procedure at this job fair will be different from previous ones. Attendees will be met in the parking lot by a prison staffer. While still in their vehicle, applicants will be handed a clipboard with the forms that need to be completed.
After that, there will be pre-screening health questions and a temperature check. If there are no health concerns, applicants will be led inside to the computer lab to complete the online portion of the paperwork, and then it's on to the actual interview.
All staff will be wearing personal protective equipment, social distancing will be maintained and all areas of interaction will be sanitized after every use.
