Hiring Hoosiers: Postal Service recruiting workers at Saturday Indianapolis job fair

INDIANAPOLIS — The U.S. Postal Service is hiring and a job fair to recruit potential employees takes place this Saturday in Indianapolis.

USPS is hosting a Drive-Thru Job Fair on September 26 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 3939 Vincennes Road. That's near West 86th Streeet and North Michigan Road.

Employees working the job fair will wear masks and will social distance. Masks and social distancing are required for all attendees.

The Postal Service has vacancies for city carrier assistants, rural carrier associates, and assistant rural carriers, postal support employees, mail processing clerks, mail handler assistants, and various peak season and temporary COVID-19 vacancies.

Driving jobs require a valid Indiana driver’s license, two years’ driving experience, and a good driving record.

The jobs pay in the $16 to 18 dollar-per-hour range. The jobs offer limited health benefits and may lead to future full-time employment.

Attendees must be more than17 years of age.

Applicants for all USPS positions must be a United States citizen, a lawful permanent resident alien, a citizen of American Samoa or any other territory owing allegiance to the United States.
