Hiring Hoosiers: Honda offering $2K bonuses for production workers

GREENSBURG — In an effort to compete with other manufacturers for workers, Honda Manufacturing of Indiana is offering new hiring bonuses to new production workers.

In a press release, Kelly Services, a staffing company, said Honda is offering bonuses of up to $2,000 to attract new production associates.

Kelly Services is working with Honda to fill the positions and is now accepting applications. First- and second-shift positions are available with wages starting at $16.69 and $17.52, bonuses of up to $2,000 after 90 days and opportunities for advancement.

Worker safety is also a priority for both Kelly and Honda. On-site precautions include temperature checking, personal protective equipment, and around-the-clock sanitizing protocols.

Those interested in the positions do not need a high school diploma or GED to apply, but do need to be available to work overtime as needed. Applicants also will need to be capable of physical labor, including overhead and forward reaching, bending, stooping, and squatting, continuous gripping and tasks requiring fine motor skills and working on or around moving equipment such as conveyors and forklifts.
