INDIANAPOLIS — The U.S. Postal Service is looking to expand their ranks.

The postal service is hiring for letter carriers — rural carrier associates, assistant rural carriers and city carrier assistants. The pay ranges from $17 to $18 per hour.

Applicants must have a valid state driver's licesne, a safe driving record, and at least two years of documented driving experience. With the exception of an assistant rural carrier position, a written exam is required for both the city carrier assistant and rural carrier associate positions, the postal service said.

Additionally, applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening, be a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident alien, or a citizen of a territory owing allegiance to the United States.

All applicants must apply online.
