INDIANAPOLIS — Congressman Andre Carson announced that his sixth annual Youth Opportunities Fair will be held on Monday, March 11. The annual event presents students, parents and guardians with job opportunities, resume reviews, interview help and follow-up tips.

The fair will be held at the Central Library in Indianapolis from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday.

For children under the working age of 14, there will be other groups that offer summer and year-round programs such as, volunteer services and camp opportunities.

“That first summer job, summer camp or volunteer experience can make a big difference in a young person’s life, helping to ignite goals and passions that last a lifetime,” Rep. Carson said. “However, many folks in our community in years past told me that they had trouble finding these opportunities. That’s what inspired me to launch the Youth Opportunities Fair – to put a variety of these resources in one place. I’m pleased it has lived up to its promise, helping to change many young Hoosiers’ lives.”

The event is free with no RSVP necessary. Learn more on Rep. Carson's website, here.
