Police say Kokomo man was murdered

KOKOMO — Kokomo Police are asking for the public's help in solving a murder case.

Early in the evening of January 30, police were called to the Briarwick Apartments on Southlea Drive on Kokomo's south side.

They found a 37-year-old Kokomo man with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the chest.

Christopher Lee Maggart was dead at the scene.

Now, Howard County Coroner Steve Seele has ruled Maggart's death a homicide.

There have been no arrests.
