The six week trial for convicted Richmond Hill explosion suspect Mark Leonard cost Marion County more than $60,000, the prosecutor's office said this week.
Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry's office released its estimate Thursday of expenses for travel, lodging and expert witnesses, minus salaries for staff involved. That number came to $62,805.

Curry released a statement Thursday thanking Marion County Sheriff John Layton for providing staff to transport many of the Richmond Hill neighbors to and from South to testify.
He also thanks Citizens Energy Group and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives for providing expert testimony at no cost.
Leonard was moved in August to the maximum security Indiana State Prison in Michigan City, where he will serve out his life sentence.
