INDIANAPOLIS -- One person was shot and a woman was arrested on the city's northeast side after witnesses held the suspect until police arrived Monday morning.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to the 3400 block of E. 26th Street around 11:30 a.m.

They arrived to find one person shot. The identity of that person has not yet been released. They were transported to Methodist Hospital where they are in critical, but stable condition.
