INDIANAPOLIS – A 1-year-old was listed in critical condition after he was pulled from a retention pond Monday evening on the city’s south side.
Indianapolis detectives said the 1-year-old boy wandered into the pond to follow ducks nearby at Epler Avenue and US 31. Once the mother realized he was in the water, she pulled him out and called 911.
He was taken to Riley Children’s Hospital.
