HAMILTON COUNTY, Ind. -- After a few delays, 106th Street is closed at Interstate 69 for construction.
INDOT is putting a new interchange on I-69 and 106th Street. The closure was supposed to happen Monday morning, but was delayed due to the rain.
INDOT says that 96th and 116th Streets are over capacity and that a new interchange will improve traffic flow and safety.
Anybody driving on I-69 in the area should expect delays.
The detour route is to go on 96th Street via Lantern Road and Allisonville Road.
