A 21-YEAR-OLD MAN HAS DIED AFTER HE WAS INVOLVED IN A WORK-RELATED ACCIDENT AT A CONSTRUCTION SITE IN HENDRICKS COUNTY TUESDAY AFTERNOON. — HENDRICKS COUNTY — A 21-year-old man has died after he was involved in a work-related accident at a construction site in Hendricks County Tuesday afternoon.
The Hendricks County Sheriff's Office responded to the residential construction site in the 400 block of Foxboro Circle, near Avon, just after noon. Arriving deputies found a man suffering severe injuries from what appeared to be an accident involving a piece of excavating equipment, according to the sheriff's department.
That man, later identified as Braxton Lee Lynch, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident is being investigated by the Hendricks County Sheriff's Department and IOSHA.
"Our heartfelt condolences go out to all impacted by this tragedy," the Hendricks County Sheriff's Department said in a release on Wednesday.
IOSHA says they have launched a 'safety compliance inspection' at the site of the incident. No other additional details have been released at this time.
