BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY — A 22-year-old man was killed when he overturned his vehicle and landed in a creek bed in Bartholomew County over the weekend.
Deputies with the Bartholomew County Sheriff's Office were called to the scene on CR 675 W just south of CR 1050 S just before 4 p.m. Saturday.
Arriving crews extricated Terry Von Anderson from his 2005 Ford Mustang, which was inverted in a small creek bed. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary investigation shows Anderson was traveling northbound on CR 675 when he met a southbound vehicle at the hillcrest and his tires dropped off the edge of the roadway. The sheriff's office says Anderson overcorrected, causing his vehicle to slide off the roadway and into a ditch where it overturned into a creek bed.
Anderson was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, which remains under investigation.
