INDIANAPOLIS -- Three people were injured in two shootings less than a mile apart on Indianapolis' east side early Thursday morning.
Just after midnight, police were called to the intersection of Linwood Avenue and Washington Street. They found a man who was grazed by a bullet in the cheek. Police also learned another man was shot and had either jumped or fallen out of a third-story apartment window during the incident.
The other victim was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
Another shooting happened about an hour later in the 700 block of Bosart Avenue, less than a mile away.
Police found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. She was taken to the hospital.
There is no word on suspects in either case, and investigators don't believe the shootings are connected.
