MARTINSVILLE — A three-month-old infant died in an apartment fire in Martinsville on Friday.
Crews with the Martinsville Fire Department, along with the Washington Township Fire Department, were dispatched to the apartment, located in the 400 block of South Home Avenue, at 2:54 p.m.
After arriving, firefighters began to work to put the fire out.
Upon searching the residence, an infant was found and pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim was identified as three-month-old Colson Murtlow, of Martinsville.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
