INDIANAPOLIS – A 4-year-old starred in a Facebook video in hopes of raising money for hungry children in Africa.
Patrick Clark’s mother – Stephanie Clark - uploaded her son’s video to Facebook to encourage people to donate to Anchor of Hope Charities, which will supply food for children in Zambia.
"These are the kids I'm raising money for, and this is where they live,” Patrick said in the video.
Stephanie said her son’s pitch has had an impact.
"What's really cool is people I don't even know are donating because of seeing Patrick's video,” she said.
Some of Patrick’s friends and their families have donated to his cause.
"We're hoping to reach as many children as we can,” said Judy Kendall founder of Anchor of Hope Charities. “Patrick talked about getting food for a whole year to 1,000 children. We hope to make that tenfold. I can reach through by distribution channels in Zambia, more than 100,000 children. The more the better."
Those interested in helping Patrick will be able to make donations at the family and pet walk at the downtown Indy canal Sunday at 2 p.m.
