KOKOMO, Ind. -- A 48-year-old man was hit and killed while crossing the road in Kokomo Thursday evening.
The accident happened just before midnight near the intersection of Markland Avenue and Waugh Street.
Kokomo police say a 66-year-old man was driving westbound on Markland Avenue when he struck the pedestrian.
The 48-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released.
The accident remains under investigation by the Kokomo Police Department.
