INDIANAPOLIS -- Five Indianapolis-area Bagger Dave's locations were closed Sunday, part of an eight-store shutdown by parent company Diversified Restaurant Holdings (DRH).
Michigan-based DRH said the closed locations – seven in Indiana and one in Michigan – were "underperforming."
“DRH is committed to taking all appropriate and necessary actions to enhance value for all shareholders,” said CEO Michael Ansley. “We have therefore chosen to optimize our portfolio and improve overall profitability by closing 8 underperforming Bagger Dave Restaurants. This will allow us to focus our attention on more profitable restaurants."
DRH now operates only one Indiana Bagger Dave's location, in Fort Wayne. The company also operates 62 Buffalo Wild Wings franchises in the Midwest and Florida.
