INDIANAPOLIS -- A child was rushed to the hospital in critical condition after being hit by a vehicle on Indianapolis' south side Saturday evening.
It happened in the area of 71 E. Southport Road just after 10 p.m.
Indianapolis Police Department officers on the scene say a 7-year-old was hit by a car. That child was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Their identity has not been released.
The driver of the car that hit the child remained on scene to talk to police.
No other details about the crash have been released at this time.
