School buses were delayed on the southeast side Thursday after someone stole the batteries out of them.
As a result of the thefts, classes at IPS' Emma Donnan, Howe and Manual schools were all played on a two-hour delay.
A&S Transportation officials believe the break-in occurred sometime between midnight and 5 o'clock Thursday morning. It's the second break-in the lot has seen in the last two weeks.
Thieves are known to take batteries and strip them down, before selling the core to junkyards and auto parts stores.
At least 60 batteries, priced at $100 apiece, were taken from out of 30 buses.
