INDIANAPOLIS -- It may seem like a great way to keep your friends and family involved in your child's life, but you might want to think twice before you post those photos of your kids on social media.
"Any picture that you put out there is public now," said Indiana State Police Youth Educator Stephanie Nancarrow.
Katie Harper says the emotions from her son's death came flooding back when she saw his photos being used by someone else.
"Seeing someone else have my pictures of my child destroyed me," said Harper. "It made me so mad."
She's hoping her story will help inform parents of the risk and keep them from suffering the way she has.
"You're on a public forum, you're on a public site," said Nancarrow. "So once you put it out there it's always going to be there and you can't take it back."
