INDIANAPOLIS —The latest group of retirees from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department was honored with a luncheon Wednesday.
Mayor Joe Hogsett and Police Chief Bryan Roach were there.
So was Ted Friez, who put in 29-years with IMPD.
"I thought the police department was very great for me. Great career. No regrets at all. Wouldn't take a million bucks. Very satisfying and enjoyed every minute of it," he said.
Friez is retired from IMPD, but not from work.
He's taken a new position with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway where he says he's learning lots of new things.
