INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Animal Care Services is having a 10-day free adoption event to help clear out their quickly-filling cages.

“We are getting really close to having all of our dog kennels full, and we are already out of cat space,” said Deputy Director Katie Trennepohl.

The "FALL in Love" campaign will start on Sept. 17 and will end on Sept. 26 with a special adoption event at the shelter. The event will feature special "pup-kin" patches to showcase our available dogs. Cats will also be featured throughout the event and around the shelter.

Adoptions are currently FREE and available appointment-only, with an exception for Wednesday when the shelter will have "Walk-UP" hours.

The adoptable animals at IACS can be viewed online HERE.

If you don’t want to adopt, the shelter is also looking for help in the form of fosters and volunteers to help walk dogs, feed animals and help clean the shelter.
