A proposal to allow texting in some AMC Theatres was grounded this week before it ever took flight.
When reports surfaced that the theater chain was considering allowing texting in certain theaters, the response was swift – and almost universally negative.
People apparently hated it so much that AMC has killed any plans to move forward with the idea and restated its commitment to banning texting in theaters in the future.
"With your advice in hand, there will be NOT TEXTING ALLOWED in any of the auditoriums at AMC Theatres," the company tweeted. "Not today, not tomorrow and not for the foreseeable future."
