INDIANAPOLIS -- Two new developments have been proposed for the old Indianapolis airport site.

The Athlete's Business Network wants to build a sports/mixed use development on nearly 130 acres.

It will feature the Global Center for Brain Health which will focus on PTSD, concussions, traumatic brain injuries and other brain health conditions.

The project could lead to 3,000 new jobs.

The second proposal was from Holladay Properties for a master plan to attract economic development projects on more than 300 acres along or near west Washington Street.

It is separate from the ABN proposal

Both projects were identified by the Indianapolis Airport Authority following a request for proposals for the land.

The IAA is committed to returning airport land back to productive use and we are very excited about ABN's plans. This project could become a community asset with global reach and could help revitalize a prime corridor on the west side of Indianapolis that will have impact on the whole city - Kelly Flynn, IAA Board President.

The proposals will be presented to the IAA Board for consideration and a vote to approve at its February 19 meeting.
