INDIANAPOLIS -- It has been proven time and time again that CPR saves lives.
Starting Thursday, travelers at the Indianapolis International Airport can quickly learn hands-only CPR when officials unveil a training kiosk.
According to statistics, more than 350,000 cardiac arrests occur outside the hospital and more than 20 percent happen in public settings, like airports, casinos and sporting facilities.
Officials say the training kiosk at the airport has a touch screen with a video that explains how a person can perform CPR, followed by a practice session and a CPR test. Travelers will be able to practice on a manikin.
And the kiosk will give feedback to ensure the proper technique is learned.
The kiosk is just one of seven being installed this year in different places across the country.
