HAMILTON COUNTY — Alcohol is a believed to be a factor in a serious collision involving two jet skis on Morse Reservoir in Hamilton County Tuesday evening.
Emergency crews were called to the 21000 block of Waterscape Way around 8:47 p.m. for a report of an accident involving two personal watercrafts.
According to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, a 19-year-old and an 18-year-old were "jumping the wake of another boat" on their jet skis when one of them went airborne and landed on top of the other one.
The 19-year-old was rushed to the hospital with severe head and facial injuries. DNR believes alcohol was a factor in the collision.
Indiana conservation officers say it is unlawful for boaters to jump the wake of another boat "due to the unforeseen dangers."
The incident remains under investigation.
