WHITESTOWN, Ind. – Amazon will be offering on-the-spot job offers next month when it hosts one of the nation's largest job fairs.
The company will be opening up 10 of its sites for the first-ever “Amazon Jobs Day” on August 2 as they attempt to fill over 50,000 roles across their U.S. fulfillment facilities.
Positions the company is looking to fill in Indiana include shipping and receiving associates, fulfillment associates and warehouse associates.
The available positions are in Indianapolis, Plainfield and Whitestown.
In addition to hourly fulfillment center roles, Amazon’s site lists supporting and managerial roles within its facilities including human resources managers, IT specialists, operations leaders and more.
Amazon will open the warehouse at 4244 Anson Boulevard on Aug. 2 from 8 a.m. to noon with tours and information sessions. The company says candidates can come on-site to learn more about working at Amazon and the technology it utilizes in its operations.
“We’re excited to be creating great jobs that offer highly-competitive wages, benefits starting on day one and the chance for employees to go back to school through our Career Choice program,” said John Olsen, Vice President of Amazon’s Worldwide Operations Human Resources.
Amazon says its jobs offer “highly-competitive pay, health insurance, disability insurance, retirement savings plans and company stock.” The company also offers up to 20 weeks of paid leave and “innovative benefits such as Leave Share and Ramp Back, which gives new parents flexibility with their growing families,” according to the site.
Besides Whitestown, events will be held at fulfillment centers in:
- Baltimore, Maryland
- Chattanooga, Tennessee
- Etna, Ohio
- Fall River, Massachusetts
- Kenosha, Wisconsin
- Kent, Washington
- Robbinsville, New Jersey
- Romeoville, Illinois
- Hebron, Kentucky
You can learn more about working at Amazon and apply online if you’re unable to attend a Jobs Day event.
