INDIANAPOLIS -- If you tune in to ABC's "American Crime" series this season, you may recognize the story line.
This show's second season is set in Indianapolis and touches on a subject strikingly familiar to Carmel residents.
The show is about as real life as a fictional show can be. The story lines are pulled from the headlines. This season, a teenager accuses several basketball players of an elite private high school of sexually assaulting him.
This might hit home for some in Carmel.
It was six years ago this month, that a Carmel basketball player said he was assaulted on the bus on the way home from a game. He also said he had been assaulted in a locker room.

It took attorneys and prosecutors in two counties more than a year to resolve all of the charges, with the four eventually pleading guilty to misdemeanors and sentenced to probation and community service.
Writer and Producer John Ridley told Variety Magazine that his intention was to have a female rape victim, but said, "We started looking into cases where there was peer-to-peer sexual assault among men."
Ridley says in putting together the provocative program, he and his writers met with victims and families.
He said he was shocked to hear about the lack of reporting in these cases, and the lack of adjudication.
