Joey Feek continues to inspire people long after her death last March following a long battle with cervical cancer.
A friend of Joey and Rory's says she was motivated by Joey's love and selflessness to do one good deed for someone every day.
Rory said in the latest post to his blog, "This Life I Live," that Jan Harris makes sure she has 'given' herself to someone else, with no expectation of ever giving back.
Such was the case with an Easter gift Jan gave to Rory and his family.
While Rory made a quick trip to Washington, D.C., Jan worked on a special Easter present for him while watching his daughter, Indiana, who has been diagnosed with Down syndrome.
When Rory and Indy were preparing to make the drive home for Easter, Jan showed up with an envelope that said "Happy Easter, Love Jan."
There were also envelopes for Rory's two daughters, his two sisters and one each for Joey's parents and her three sisters.
Inside were pictures of Indiana that Jan and another friend, who are both amateur photographers, took during a photo shoot to make a special Easter memory for Rory and the family.
"Thank you Jan for the beautiful pictures of our little one. We will keep them in frames on our mantles and in our hearts forever. And even more than the pictures, thank you for the friend you were to Joey, and are to me and so many others... and the inspiration you are to us all. We love you," said Rory.
