INDIANAPOLIS -- It was a Craigslist deal that could have turned deadly.
The victim wanted to buy a car and went to the website to find one.
When the seller and a companion showed up, the victim didn't want the car anymore.
According to the victim, one of them got out a gun and started shooting.
The victims went inside the home.
At least eight rounds struck the house and police found at least a dozen spent shell casings in the street.
Officers suggest that you trust your own instincts if you're buying and selling off Craigslist.
Meet in a public place, not at your home, and take a friend.
Craigslist officials say violent crime incidents surrounding deals from its site are very low.
