Armed robbery reported on Purdue's campus

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- A person was robbed and cut with a knife during a robbery on Purdue's campus early Wednesday morning.

The robbery happened in the area of Wood and Pierce streets just before 2:30 a.m.

The suspect was described as a white man with a full beard wearing a salty dog shirt and khaki shorts.

Police are asking anybody nearby to avoid the area.
